Artistic Adventures: Exploring the Fort Myers Mural Society

Looking for a splash of color to brighten your vacation? One of our favorite "hidden gem" activities in North Fort Myers and the downtown River District is exploring the vibrant street art created by the Fort Myers Mural Society.

This local nonprofit has transformed our city walls into a massive, open-air gallery. From massive 8-foot-high scenes at McCollum Hall to the historic storytelling at the River Basin—where 57 murals depict our early connection to the Caloosahatchee River—there is a masterpiece around every corner. It’s essentially a scavenger hunt for art lovers!  

How to Join the Fun:

The best way to see them all is by using their local mural map or the Art Stumble (and Otocast) mobile apps. These tools turn your smartphone into a personal tour guide, providing the backstory for each piece and the artists behind them.
