If you’re staying at our vacation rentals, a trip to the Fort Myers River District is a must. Just a short drive away, this historic downtown area trades the sandy shores for brick-paved streets, towering royal palms, and a sophisticated urban energy that still feels like a well-kept local secret. The River District is the cultural heartbeat of the city.

The absolute best way to experience the local vibe is to time your visit with one of downtown’s monthly block parties:

🎨 Art Walk (1st Friday): The streets close to traffic as local artists display their work and galleries stay open late with wine and live music.

🎶 Music Walk (3rd Friday): The air fills with everything from jazz to rock as dozens of musicians perform on street corners and in restaurant courtyards.
