Prost! Celebrate Oktoberfest at Southwest Florida's Favorite Festival

Looking for a taste of authentic Bavarian tradition just minutes from North Fort Myers? Dust off your dirndl or lederhosen and take a quick drive to Cape Coral’s Oktoberfest at the German-American Social Club, bringing Southwest Florida’s premier fall celebration back for two action-packed weekends every October!

Oktoberfest originated in 1810 in Munich, Germany, as a royal wedding celebration that grew into a world-famous tradition honoring harvest season, music, and community spirit. In 1964, a group of local German immigrants formed the German-American Social Club of Cape Coral to keep these rich cultural roots alive in Southwest Florida. Over four decades ago, they hosted their very first local Oktoberfest. What began as a small community gathering has grown into Southwest Florida’s largest annual fall event.
